ORT’s Technical Training Certifications offer comprehensive classes in Computer Support & Networking Technology, Graphic Design & Desktop Publishing and Computer Aided Design (CADD) & Drafting. In 35 to 40 weeks all three programs will teach you the real world, hands-on skills it takes to secure an entry level position in a high demand technical field. ORT’s Technical Institute’s Computer Support and Networking Technology certification program trains you to be a qualified entry level Computer Support Technician and Network Administrator. When you graduate you will be able to repair PC’s and install, troubleshoot, operate and administer PC hardware, software. Additionally, you will have entry level computer networking skills. Every business needs an IT professional who can unravel basic computer and networking issues. Other opportunities as a computer technician, technical sales rep and help desk support representative will also be open to you.

ORT’s Computer Aided Design (CADD) and Drafting program prepares you to become a proficient entry level CADD/Drafting operator using AutoCAD software. The curriculum covers 2D CADD, CADD simulation and extensive 3D modeling. You will generate portfolio drawings in class to help you secure employment. There’s a powerful need for CADD professionals in a variety of fields including architecture, construction, aerospace, automo­tive, manufac­turing, electronics, animation, simulation and all types of engineering.

The Computer Graphics and Desktop Publishing program prepares you for entry level employment in the graphic design, digital graphics, animation and web fields. In addition to print layout and production, digital photography, image editing and branding/advertising concepts, introductory web design and animation courses round out the curriculum. ORT graduates may be hired by any business engaged in marketing, business development, publishing and communications from advertising agencies to print/on-line publishers.

ORT’s Technical program students must be a high school graduate or equivalent, pass the school's entrance exam and be interviewed by the Admissions Department. Class size is limited to one student per computer and you will be trained on software and equipment that is standard in your field of study. ORT is committed to small class sizes to increase your learning speed, retention and instructor attention. Our average class size is 12 students. All three Technical programs are intensive; taught 5 hours per day, 4 days per week, or 20 hours per week for 35 weeks. The evening classes are taught 4.5 hours per each session four times a week or 18 hours per week 40 weeks.
