Associate of Applied Science Degree in Accounting

ORT’s AAS Degree Program in Accounting is designed to meet the needs of business and industry for qualified entry-level accountants. You will receive instruction to master the principles, methods, procedures, techniques, concepts, and operations of accounting and computerized accounting systems. These basic business concepts and skills will be put into a management, marketing, finance, human resources, and the economic perspective within the marketplace. ORT Technical Institute students train on one computer per student using accounting industry standard software and equipment.

Students must be a high school graduate or equivalent, pass the school's entrance exam and be interviewed by the Admissions Department. Class size is limited: The average class size 12 students but no more than 15. We provide small classes to promote your increased learning speed and understanding.

This Associate Degree in Accounting program is approximately two years in length and may be offered in the morning or evening sessions. The morning session is taught 5 days per week for approximately 60 weeks of instruction, exclusive of school breaks. The evening session is taught 4 days per week for approximately 90 weeks of training.
